DELIVERY QUESTIONS
Can I rent for a few hours? Yes, but the fees start at $47. Bike sharing programs offer short use at a lower price. 
Are kids bikes available?
Yes, if your child is 4’11” (or 1.49m) or taller. Infant seats are not offered. 
Where is your location? 
There are no locations. We deliver! Here’s our delivery map. $15 fee if delivery is outside listed limits.
Can I pay cash?
Cash is an option for payment but a credit card is needed for collateral. Please have ID matching the card also.
Can I call to make a reservation? 
Yes, 202-684-8086, but it will take longer than you going through the site. Credit cards only used online.

What is the refund & cancellation policy?
If you haven’t received your rental bike near your specific delivery time or at all for whatever reason, a refund will be given.
Cancellations must be 90 minutes prior to the reservation of up to 3 bikes for full refund. One day advance notice is needed for a full refund with +4 bike reservation.
Refunds take anywhere from 3 to 10 business days, based upon method of payment & proper notification, which should include full name & 16 digit Paypal receipt number by email for your protection.

Can I take bikes on buses and trains?
Yes. Buses are capable of holding two bikes on the front rack. METRO trains are available to cyclists during non-rush hours. 
Are car racks available for rent?
Yes. $20 cash fee. It holds 2 bikes on most cars and SUVs.

ACCESSORY ISSUES
Can I bring my own pedals?
Yes. Road bikes do not come with pedals unless specifically requested.
Can I use a lock with my rental?
Yes. However, you are responsible for any and all parts of the bike should they need to be replaced due to damage or theft. It is recommended to ask the hotel staff to store the bike for you, if you are a guest, or to lock it within a parking garage or even within residential property.

Are bags, panniers or repair kits offered?
No. 
Is it the law to wear helmets?
In DC it is required for people under age 16. In Virginia, the age limit is 15 and under.
If I get a flat tire, will I get charged?
No. However, if you damage the wheel to the point of needing a repair that means a $15 minimum charge. Bending, ripping, or breaking parts are mentioned in your waiver. You assume financial responsibility for those occurrences.

ATHLETIC QUESTIONS
Are there fitness rides I can borrow a bike to be a part of?
Yes. There are personal trainers & amateur competitors who would enjoy company. Most shops have rides that start from their store. 
Trainers taking clients on rides have a special rate for this special arrangement. Have the trainer Email me to set this up.
Do you rent triathlon specific equipment?
No specific equipment rentals. Road bikes work well for tri- events. Aerobars are a liability & too expensive to deal with currently.
How can I train in the winter without a bike?
You can borrow a bike indoors with a trainer! Some bike shops and a few gyms offer interval training classes. Spinning class is NOT interval training. Email for details.
Do you teach adults how to ride a bike?
Yes. We have a personal trainer on staff available. Email for more info.

Do you have tandem (2 person) bikes, recumbents or tricycles?
No to all three.

Above is a good video, even though it doesn’t address the quick release FRONT WHEEL that is more likely to be stolen than the back. But I guess that in Europe the wheels are bolted on. The BEST way is locking both wheels & the frame like described below!

The BEST way to lock your bike! Take the front wheel off, lock

it to the rear and something stationary & sturdy. Like in this image, use the section of the rear wheel where it’s inside the frame. U locks can be used this way too! But people get lazy. It should be a tight fit to lock it. Many SEATS are quick release too!
